CONFESSIONS OF FAITH

CONFESSIONS OF FAITH

The Bibles teaches that the only thing that pleases God is faith. For without faith it is impossible to please God (Hebrew 11:6). To develop faith in God is to speak in the way that God wants to speak; act in the way that He wants us to and do only the things He wants us to. To know how God expects us to speak, act and do things, we must study His word and get His Word into our hearts – our very beings. To get the Word in our hearts, the Bible teaches us to hold fast (firmly) the confession of our faith without wavering, for He (God) who promised is faithful (Heb 10:23).

To build up our faith in God and be successful in life as Christians, we are expected to confess (speak out) God’s Word. The Bible teaches in Joshua 1:8: “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shall mediate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

What You Confess And Believe Is What You Have

You will make your prayer to Him, He will hear you, and you will
pay your vows. You will also declare a thing, and
it will be established for you;
So light will shine on
Your ways

(Job 22:27-28)

Faith is authoritative, faith demonstrates to God that you accept Him as God and the Lord of your Life. Such a behaviour moves the heart of God to act on your behalf. One of the key approaches we can demonstrate faith in God and win His attention is through Words. Speaking God’s Word is to tell Him that His Words are true and dependable. His Words have creative and transforming power and shape us for rulership on Earth.

YOUR CONFESSIONS OF FAITH

Your confessions based on the Word of God (the Bible) releases great force and can change every situation and align them with God’s plan and purpose for your life and others. Speak to your situation and trust God to move on your behalf.

As guide, you can start of by reading the confessions below several times and believe whatever you speak out to be true.

I do as Jesus did, and I speak to the mountains of _________ in my life. I command ___________ to be removed from my (life, body, relationship, job) and cast it into the sea and away from me! I believe I receive it removed by faith.

I have no doubt in my mind that I am free from ________. No weapons of fear, doubt or unbelief formed against me shall prosper. I call those things that are not as though they were and hope for what I do not have—waiting patiently for it to come to pass in my life.

Scripture References: Mark 11:23-25, Isaiah 54:17, Romans 4:17, 8:25

I hear, study, believe and confess God’s Word, and my faith continues to grow. I abide in God and His Word abides in me, so I ask what I need according to His Word, and I believe I receive it by faith. Jesus is Lord over my situation, and I do not fear or worry about what I’m going through because I released my faith and God’s will is being done in my life right now.

Jesus is the author and finisher of my faith, so I look to Him by believing and acting on His Word! I believe that my faith works because I believe God’s Word is true. It comes to pass and He is the rewarder of those who seek Him. I not only hear the Word, I act on it by faith. I do not doubt, but believe in my heart that I have what I speak by faith.

Scripture References: Romans 10:17, John 15:7, Mark 11:23-24, Matthew 6:10, Hebrews 12:2, 11:6, James 2:17

I’m not moved by what I see, feel or experience. I have the God kind of faith. God’s Word is in my heart and in my mouth. I have spoken my faith and I believe I receive ________. Though I haven’t yet seen the physical results, I know I have them and am unmoved by negative feelings.

Thank You, God, that I have a great High Priest in heaven and His Name is Jesus Christ, and He said I can have whatever I say. So, out of the abundance of my heart I speak the Word of God over my situation. His Word never fails!
