We see DLM as an INSPIRATIONAL church where members are inspired and empowered to bear the fruit and gifts of the Holy Spirit and the character of Christ. We see a church of great influence through the leading of the Holy Spirit and members are involved in all spheres of society and sees the whole world as the mission field and making a difference in the lives of people from all backgrounds (Ps 31.24).

We see DLM as a TRANSFORMING church where all members to submit to the Lord and allow His Holy Spirit to transform each of us from inside out. We see a church that does not only attend to the spiritual needs of its members and other people but also a church with a heart for the poor and the marginalised and focused on bringing transformation to people’s lives (Rom 12:2).

We see DLM as church of EXCELLENCE that actively raise leaders with wisdom and insight to know the mind of God and to do excellent work. We see a church wherenall members are filled with the spirit of excellence and make significant contribution for the advancement of God’s Kingdom. We see a praying church that believe that nothing is impossible with God and purses the manifestation of signs and wonders (Dan 5:12).

We believe that as a church we must focus on what the Lord Jesus focuses on:

Discipleship: 

We channel our energies on teaching and training every member of DLM to grow and to be keep to bear witness to the unsaved. We encourage one another in discipleship, to show care for people in and out the church.  We believe in teaching a member what true worship is about so we can worship the Lord in Spirit and in Truth.

Identity In Christ

As a Church we focus on helping members know and understand their identity in Christ Jesus. We believe that all Christians are Ambassadors for Christ and that in the Body of Christ which is the Church, Christ, Our Lord gave gifts to all who believe in Him, Christ call us to fulfil our roles either as: apostles, prophets, evangelists and pastors and teachers. We support all members to identify their role in the Church and pursue their calling though His Word and Incessant Prayer to in pursuing their identity in Christ.

Unity In Christ

It is the Lord’s pray that we will walk in love and be one. Therefore we focus  on supporting the members to grow in true love for God, their neighbours and themselves and reach unity in faith and the knowledge of God’s Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ and growing up to the fullness and complete standard of Christ. We focus on ensuring members remain mature, and pursue their ministries and calling and reach unity in faith.

 Discerning Spirit 

We learn to walk in the direction of the Holy Spirit through discernment so that members are not deceived or outwitted by Satan and false people who try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth. We teach and encourage individual members to pray fro the spirit of discernment from the Lord so that they will know the mind of God in every situation.

Youth and Children Ministries 

 We believe in the Lord’s admonition to teach a child the way they should grow up in the Lord. It is our focus to provide a flourishing Youth and Children Ministries where children and young people (and their families) seek to know the Lord, build a relationship with Christ engage with the nurturing programmes at Church and be encouraged to grow in the Christian faith. We are focused on encouraging our Youth to take up their place in the Society and ensure that godly laws are implemented in the land.

Elderly Ministry

We recognise that the number of elderly people in our population is increasing. There are many who are unable to attend church, they live alone and want to continue to engage with church. We are focused on building a strong Elderly Support Team to respond to the  growing pastoral and spiritual needs of the elderly.

Partnership Working

We recognize ourselves as part of the universal Church  and see to work in close partnership with other churches and the communities in which we worship.  We take advantage of partnership to share skills and expertise and our enthusiasm and resources.

To fulfil this vision we recognise that each of us needs to commit our time, our prayers, and our resources and to be willing to be led by the Spirit. As members of the church, we challenge one another to search our own hearts and discern what God wants us to do for Him. We seek to move forward together serving with unity and purpose.
